Two New Systems Now Shipping From Pioneer Bring the Cinema Experience Home
Long Beach, CA 6/7/2006
Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc. offers two, new state-of-the-art home theater systems enabling consumers to experience movie-theater audio and video in the comfort of their own living rooms. The HTZ-360 and HTS-560 each have unique aesthetics and technical innovations that provide a better-than-ever entertainment experience.
“Whether you’re listening to music, watching movies or playing video games, these systems offer exceptional audio and video quality,” said Dave Bales, manager of audio and video marketing and product planning for Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc.
FOR THE STYLISH SET WHO DEMAND QUALITY
The style-conscious will appreciate the integrated design of the HTS-560, which features a progressive scan DVD player along with four full range floor standing speakers, a center channel speaker and a subwoofer that processes the audio and video in the same way a traditional A/V receiver would. By integrating the receiver into the subwoofer, Pioneer reduces the number of components in a home theater system. Further simplifying the process is an HDMI® output for high quality, yet streamlined, video and audio. Multi-Channel Acoustic Calibration (MCACC) fine-tunes the system for superior audio performance based on the unique shape and setup of the room where the system is being used. It offers playback for DVD, CD, .mp3, WMA, .jpg photos and DivX® Internet video. A small, thin LED display shows system status and can be used to control operation.
System features include:
· MCACC room tuning technology with calibration microphone to equalize sound delivery, cranking out precise, studio-quality audio.
· Sound Retriever DSP to improve the quality of compressed audio by digitally processing audio data to “fill in” information that is left out when files are compressed.
· Advanced Surround Modes provide surround sound options to enhance a variety of audio sources including movies, music, TV and games.
· Built-in AM/FM tuner.
· Three digital inputs (2 optical/1 coaxial), one audio input, one SR output.
The HTS-560 begins shipping this month at a suggested price of $549.
FOR THE MULTIMEDIA SAVVY
The HTZ-360 is a 5.1 surround sound audio/video system that brings the computer, movies, TV and audio entertainment together. It has a USB connection for photo fans and a progressive scan DVD player integrated with a high performance A/V receiver for movie lovers.
The six channel DVD player/AV receiver offers an HDMI® output and built-in AM/FM tuner. By combining these two separate components into a one-body design, Pioneer provides a stylish, integrated system. It includes four 2-way, 3-driver floor-standing speakers, a center channel speaker and a powered subwoofer.
The USB home gallery media player allows the user to insert a USB compatible card reader for SD cards, CompactFlash cards and memory sticks to create multi-media slide shows. Digital images and music can be combined to create slideshows for unique home entertainment.
“The home gallery media player is a great way for consumers to get creative and with their own personalized entertainment slideshow, full of photos and favorite tunes. It’s a fun and comfortable way to share photos with friends and family,” said Bales.
The HTZ-360 will be available in July for a suggested price of $499.
